The Session

The Irish Music session is held at The Boat Inn, Jackfield, every Thursday from 8pm till midnight. Musicians travel from all round the region to join in.

A wide range of instruments are played including, fiddle, banjo, uleann pipes, whistle, flute, guitar, bodhran, concertina, accordion, melodeon and we've even had a didgeridoo on one occasion!

The main style is traditional Irish music, with some tunes from other areas. The music flows from one tune to another during the evening; but later on a few singers air some well loved songs.
