About the Boat Session

The session was started about 25 years ago at the Boat Inn, Jackfield, Shropshire and it draws players of all abilities from the Midlands and beyond. It is flourishing with the encouragement of the landlady Jenny Alexander.

The pub is one of the best Irish Music Venues this side of the Irish Sea.  It has quarry tiled floors and furniture which can be lifted out quickly as the River Severn rises - which it does quite frequently.

So join in the music on Thursday evenings - 8pm to 11.30pm
