About Me... I expect you have worked out that I'm keen on Folk Music.. I rekindled my love of the music in 2000. I never had the money when kids were small. Nor have I been 'in' to dragging them to festivals in muddy fields. Now I enjoy Folk at my level, on my terms. The site reflects my interests. Irish Music, Stivell, Ralph McTell, Dubliners. I have been most Thursdays to The Boat Inn, Jackfield, since May 2000. I take my guitar, concertina and voice... they are very tolerant of learners. I am really enjoying being part of the sessions and have learned a vast amount, lots of new tunes and songs and am getting the hang of playing within a group of people. Since 2000 I have been a frequent visitor to Ireland. I have enjoyed several trips to Dublin. I've also been to the All Ireland Fleadh 2001 & 02 in Listowel, followed by 2003 & 04 in Clonmel and 2005 in Letterkenny, Donegal. Last year and this I haven't been able to go. I haven't managed to get to The Festival at the Edge this year - I was stewarding in all the torrential rain last year. At the end of August I am at Shrewsbury Folk Festival... again stewarding.
